About Us
The theme for the event was "Hats Off to Volunteers" and Habitat volunteers engaged in a variety of games, including "Pin the Hat on the Regular Volunteer", "Dress the Construction Worker", "Guess the Number of Nails in a Jar", and "Toss the Hard Hat". Pastor Margo Carmines of Dresden-Richmond United Methodist Church offered a blessing. Prospective homeowner Denise Ranger, whose house is currently being built in Richmond, spoke to attendees about the fulfillment of the dream of a home for her and her daughter. Event host Thornton Oaks Retirement Community is a homeowners' cooperative offering private homes and apartments in 29 wooded acres in Brunswick. Thornton Oaks is affiliated with MidCoast Health Services. Click here to see photos from the event. |
